How can you, as a man, have dominion over something that you don't understand? As you read this, you most likely cannot identify the majority of species that you see in the natural world, let alone have dominion over it. Sure, you might be able to go out and cut down a tree. A portion of you will be able to do that on your own. A smaller portion will know the species of tree you're cutting down. An even smaller portion will be able to list all the ways one can utilize this species of tree. What to use, what not to use, the dangerous, the helpful, the poisonous, the medicinal, the good wood for burning, the wood that's toxic to burn, the wood that makes good homes or good bows or good handles for tools or good bowls and utensils, what of this do you know? This is merely a summary for wood alone, what about the rest of the natural world? Could you live in it? Could you thrive in it? Do you know the best vantage point within a fifteen-mile radius to you? Are there nearby caves, rivers, streams, natural food sources or good hunting grounds? Could you build a home with only what you see? Could you hunt, fish and gather to provide for others as well? Probably not. Where you stand in the hierarchy of nature needs to be questioned! Mountaineer is specifically designed to make a Mountaineer out of you. We start small by educating you about your surroundings and end with you being a capable, lover of God's creation.
